DTP Students visit Diamond Light Source
Students from the Oxford Interdisciplinary Bioscience DTP visited Harwell and the research facilities at Diamond Light Source on Dec 2nd 2014 as part of their core training programme. Ben Hopkins (DTP2014) said ‘The Harwell trip was a fantastic opportunity to see cutting-edge science on such a large scale. It was a grand introduction to many of the most powerful and promising tools and technologies in bioscience’. Katerina Johnson (DTP2014) observed ‘From visiting the Diamond Light Source I realised the numerous and varied applications of synchrotron radiation to biology, ranging from structural biology and biomedicine to studying fossils’.
